Christmas in the Desert

Sweater: Missguided (Similar here)| Pants: AG Jeans (On sale!)| Heels: Steve Madden (Also on sale!)| Handbag: YSL| Choker: Nordstrom | Earrings: Lulus

Nothing screams Christmas more than a red sweater and velvet pants. My sister got into town yesterday, so naturally we decided to do some blog posts. We have always loved doing hair and makeup, picking out outfits and taking photos. With Christmas around the corner we went for a holiday inspired look!

This slouchy sweater is one of my faves, it can be worn slightly off one shoulder and I love the v in the back. This one from Missguided is currently sold out, but they have a ton of similar styles and Lulu’s has an almost identical one; all at great price points! These velvet pants from AG are perfect for the holiday season and are also super flattering. We paired them with a pair of classic black pumps and chain handbag for the ultimate holiday look.

The rest of my family is coming in at the end of the week, and I can’t wait to spend some quality time together. We haven’t all been together for a family vaca in a while, so I’m definitely looking forward to us all being together! We’re spending Christmas here in Las Vegas and then heading out to Arizona for New Years. What are your plans for the holidays?

Christmas Gift Guide

I can not believe that Christmas is this weekend! I finally feel like I’m slightly ready, the house is looking pretty holiday ready. This year my family decided to do Christmas out here in Vegas, it’ll be the first holiday I’m hosting so I wanted everything to be perfect! The last couple of months have been crazy busy with lots of traveling around, so of course I’ve been running around last minute trying to get everything together.

I always feel like I’m throwing things together last minute, especially when it comes to gift buying. It’s definitely something that I need to work on so I don’t stress myself out so much! For those of you who are still searching for some last minute gift ideas, I rounded up some of my favorite items.

1. Angel by Thierry Mugler

This is one of my favorite perfumes! I’ve been wearing it for a while now, and I always get a ton of compliments.

2. Pottery Barn Faux Fur Robe

This robe is seriously my favorite! It’s so soft and warm, I love it especially for the winter months. (It’s on sale right now too!)

3. Street Level Reversible Tote

I ordered this at the beginning of the year and it has been my go to all year long. It’s perfect for traveling and for the girl that loves to carry just about everything in her bag! It’s reversible and you can’t beat the price.

4. Living Proof Dry Shampoo

You guys have heard me talk about this dry shampoo in the past, but it really is such a great product. It was definitely on my Christmas list this year!

5. Mac Cosmetics Holiday Set

Every year I fall in love with Mac’s holiday gift sets! I’m obsessed with their products and they have the cutest makeup bags that come along with the set. (Right now this gift set is an additional 25% off!)

6. Restoration Hardware Faux Fur Blanket

My parents bought us this blanket a few Christmas’s ago and it is amazing! I use it all the time and it looks so chic sitting on our couch.

7. Fresh Skincare Gift Set

Fresh skincare has been one of my favorite skincare lines and this value set has a great variety of their different products, the perfect way to try everything.

8. Sonix Phone Case

Sonix has some of the cutest phone cases, this Rose all day case is my fave!

9. Michael Kors Watch

My Michael Kors watch is one I wear all of the time, this one is currently on sale!

10. Kate Spade Portable Charger

I’m always on my phone causing the battery to die so quickly. Having an external battery has really saved me, especially while I’m traveling.

I hope this guide helped give you a little gift inspiration! I’m off to finish my Christmas shopping, anbody else still have shopping to do??

Moto Jacket + OTK Boots

Jacket: Blank NYC| Tank: Old (similar here)| Jeans: Frame| Boots: Sam Edelman (similar here and here)| Choker: Nordstrom

Good morning! I hope everybody had a great holiday and enjoyed lots of Thanksgiving food and Black Friday deals! I spent the weekend with family and friends, eating lots of cheesy potatoes and shopping. It’s always so nice to just chill out and be with the people you love most, but now it’s time to start getting things ready for Christmas and hit the gym!

With the temps finally dropping I have been wearing this jacket non stop. I ordered it during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale back in August and have been saving it for the cooler weather. It has quickly become one of my favorites, I may just have to snag it in another color! I love the moto style, and I didn’t have any suede jackets, so this added a little bit of variety to my closet.

I always love wearing an over the knee boot to add a little bit of edge to an outfit. I bought these Sam Edelman boots last year at DSW, but I just ordered another pair by Vince Camuto from Nordstrom this past weekend that were on sale; I can’t wait to get them!

Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s full go time on the Christmas decorating! I have some decorations bought, but I need more. What are some of your favorite stores to shop at for Christmas decorations?

Missguided Waterfall Duster

I had to throw this one! Seriously look at this sunset!

Jacket: Missguided (Only $60 such a steal!)| Top: Free People (similar here and here)| Jeans: Marciano (similar here and here)| Booties: Jeffrey Campbell| Bracelet: Boho Betty ( Use code ‘diariesofdanielle’ for 20% off!)

Monday you always come around so quickly! I hope everybody had a great weekend, mine was pretty relaxing other than unpacking and laundry from my trip to Napa last week. It was so beautiful there and I got to experience a few new wineries that I hadn’t been to yet. I plan on doing a post this week on some of my favorite wineries to hit while you’re in Napa!

I got an email a few weeks back from Missguided and this duster jacket was featured in it. From that point on I couldn’t stop thinking about it, so yes with me having lack of control when I want to buy something, I ordered it! I loved the longer length and I knew this beautiful nude color was one I would get a lot of use out of.

Not only does it come in a few other colors, but the price point is amazing! The material is super soft and quite warmer than what I expected. It does run on the larger side, but I stuck with my original sizing to achieve the oversized look that is intended.

I hope everybody has a great start to their week! I started shopping for some new Christimas decorations and it’s getting me in the holiday spirit! Has anybody started decorating yet?

Dressing It Down

Jacket: Blank NYC (similar), Tee: Nordstrom, Jeans: AG, Sneakers: Converse, Sunglasses: Quay Australia, Wrap Bracelet: Boho Betty (Use code ‘diariesofdanielle’ for 20% off!), Necklace: Alex and Ani, Watch: Michael Kors

Happy Monday!! I hope everybody had a great weekend! Sorry I was a little MIA last week, we decided to take a last minute road trip to LA and Newport Beach, I was pretty much in heaven! I have always loved Southern California, and having lived there in the past it kind of feels like a second home to me. I’m going to do a post this week on our mini get away and some of my favorite spots!

I always enjoy putting on a pair of heels and dressing up for a night out, but I equally love a tee, denim and a pair of sneakers. When dressing down I still like to feel put together, adding a cute jacket and accessories. Back in August I did a post on this utility jacket that was a more dressed up look. That’s what I I love most about this utility jacket is that it’s so versatile and can be dressed up with a pair of heels or down with some great sneakers as well.

Two of my favorite and newest accessories are my Quay sunglasses and my wrap bracelet. I recently did a blog post on my bracelet, it’s from a company called Boho Betty. They have a variety of really amazing bracelets to choose from and at a discounted price using code ‘diariesofdanielle’.

What are some of your favorite casual looks?

All Black + Lace Up Booties

SONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCSONY DSCTop: Lulu’s, Denim: Frame via Nordstrom, Booties: Jeffrey Campbell via Nordstrom, Handbag: YSL, Sunglasses: Quay via Nordstrom, Bracelet: Boho Betty

There I go wearing black again! I don’t know why, but I have always gravitated toward black when I’m buying clothes. The choker trend is something that I said I have been wearing a lot lately and when I saw this top on Lulu’s I knew I needed it. It is really great quality and I love how it gives you the choker look without actually having to wear one. I can tell that I will be wearing this top often, it is so soft! It also comes in grey, I may just have to order that one as well 😉

I recently got these Jeffrey Campbell booties and I think I love them even more than I thought I was going to. The heel is thick and not super high, which makes them really comfortable and super easy to walk in. And can we just talk about this lace up detail? In love!

My sunglasses are Quay Australia and have quickly become one of my favorite sunglasses designers.  A huge plus that they are really affordable, most are in the $50 range. This line has gotten a lot of recognition lately and it seems to be hard to get your hands on certain styles before they’re sold out again. This particular pair is called ‘Needing Fame’ and is an aviator style.

My bracelet is from Boho Betty, a jewelry company I recently discovered. I did a blog post about them on Monday, you can find it here. They have some really cool pieces and if you go to their website and use code ‘diariesofdanielle’ you get 20% off your order!

I hope everybody has a great Wednesday! I can’t wait to watch the season finale of The Hollywood Medium tonight, does anybody else find Tyler Henry so intriguing?! I seriously can’t get enough!

Cardigans and Fall Tones

Cardigan: Nordstrom, Tank: Nordstrom, Denim: AG, Booties: Kristin Cavallari, Choker: Nordstrom, Handbag: Michael Kors

I love a good cardigan and a pair of skinny jeans, it’s one of the reasons I look forward to fall! I first saw this cardigan during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale on Emily Gemma of The Sweetest Thing Blog (one of my favorite blogs!); I waited too long to snag it and it sold out. As soon as it came back in stock I ordered it, and I’m so glad I did because it is seriously so comfortable and warm, actually a lot warmer than I thought it would be. I’ve noticed this tan/gold color is popular this fall and I have to say I’m really loving it, it’s pretty much the perfect fall color!

I paired it with some AG jeans that I picked up a few weeks ago, they’re my first pair of AG and I’m in love! They have some stretch to them which makes them super comfortable, and I was in need of a dark blue pair. Based off my experience with this pair,  I will definitely be adding more AG to my denim collection.

The choker trend, at first I was a little skeptical (bringing back the 90’s!), but I have actually really grown to like them. I think they just add that little bit of an edge to any outfit.

What are some other fall trends you guys are loving? I hope everybody has a great start to their week!

Open Back + Boyfriend Jeans

Top: Express, Denim: Marciano (similar here), Booties: Steve Madden (on major sale!), Bag: Street Level, Necklace: Nordstrom, Earrings: Nordstrom

During the week you can either find me in athletic clothes or a comfortable top and denim. When I found this top at Express I fell in love because it was trendy and comfortable, and I knew I would get a lot of wear out of it. It’s part of the One Eleven collection at Express, I have some other clothing from that line and I love every single thing I have bought!  You really can’t go wrong, especially at that price point. This open back top is also the perfect dupe for the Free People Shadow top that was constantly sold out during the Nordstrom sale.

I paired it with my favorite slouchy boyfriend jeans and fringe booties. Thank goodness that boyfriend jeans are still in, because I don’t know what I’d do if they weren’t! On the days I don’t feel like putting on my tight skinny jeans, my boyfriend jeans are my go to. I got these a while back at Marciano, but I’m also really loving these from Blank NYC.

I hope everyone is having a great week so far, we’re almost to the weekend!! Does anybody have any exciting plans?

Fall Favorites: Utility Craze

Jacket: Blank NYC , Tank: Halogen, Denim: Express similar, Heels: Steve Madden, Choker: Top Shop, Handbag: Michael Kors, Sunglasses: Quay Australia Quay Australia

With fall right around the corner, I have begun stocking up on some fall pieces that I’ve had my eye on. I had been looking for a great utility jacket and came across this one from Nordstrom by Blank NYC. I have a faux leather moto jacket from them and love it, so I figured I couldn’t go wrong ordering this one. I’m so glad I did because I love it, plus it was under $100! It is so soft and is surprisingly heavier quality than I thought it would be. It has a loose relaxed fit, I’m wearing a size small.

I paired it with some high waisted denim, a black tank, and my ankle strap heels; perfect for a casual night out. I decided to give the choker trend a try and recently ordered some from Nordstrom as well. I got three different styles and I must say, I’m getting back into this 90’s vibe! I’ve been loving all of these fall trends, I can’t wait for the weather to start feeling a little more like fall, well as fall as it gets in Vegas!

Who else is loving utility jackets right now?!

Craving Fall Fashion

Jacket: Topshop, Top: Urban Outfitters, Denim: Frame, Booties: Kristin Cavallari, Sunglasses: Quay, Bracelet: Tiffanys, Earrings: Nadri

With everyone posting all of their great finds from the Nordstrom anniversary sale it has me seriously craving fall clothes! Out of all of four seasons I have to say I think that fall is my favorite to dress for. There’s nothing I love more than a great jacket paired with denim and booties. I have always gravitated toward jackets that can be thrown on with different styled outfits, I just didn’t realize how much until I went into my closet and saw how many jackets I had!

I love lightweight stylish jackets because I think they just really add to a look and can be worn so many different ways. When I saw this  faux leather jacket at Nordstrom I knew I just had to have it, plus you can’t beat the $90 price tag!

Another fashion item I’m drawn toward are a great pair of booties. These Kristin Cavallari booties are a pair that have definitely been on repeat. I love the peep toe and I have to say they’re actually really comfortable! I have been thinking of getting these in another color, they come in tan, grey and nude. I love her shoe line, if you haven’t already you should definitely go check it out.

I hope everybody has a great week! I can’t wait for the bachelorette tonight, who do you guys think will move on to the fantasy suite dates next week?! 😉
