It’s Sunday evening (pretty much everybody’s cheat day!) and you’re totally craving something sweet. Instead of opening the freezer and grabbing that pint of Ben and Jerry’s, try this treat that’s guilt free and less than half the cals! It’s super easy to make and you only need three ingredients.
- 3 Frozen Bananas
- 2-3 Tablespoons of Almond Butter
- Cinnamon to taste
No I’m not kidding, that’s it!
So you know those bananas that just sit in the bowl and end up going rotten anyway? Well when you see them starting to get over ripe, peel them, chop them into smaller pieces and throw them in a Tupperware in the freezer. When they’re ready to be used they should look something like this.
Next, get out your Ninja, Vitamix or blender, any one will do and toss the frozen chopped bananas in. I like to blend them down before adding the other ingredients. Once they’ve been blended I add the almond butter and cinnamon. Now I’m a fan of cinnamon, so I tend to go a little crazy with it! Blend it all up until it becomes a creamy mixture (it should resemble frozen yogurt), spoon out and serve! It’s literally that easy and is so delicious!
For those of you who may not be fans of cinnamon or almond butter, sub them out for and frozen berries or cocoa powder, get creative!
